Detailed description is God Plants the seed.... God planted the seed for this ministry 7 years ago after a small group bible study with friends. I have always been a gearhead and liked to work on cars, and therefore took a little razzing about it. After the meeting that night a close friend was doing a little razzing and exclaimed “GearHead Ministries turning wrenches for Jesus” and at that moment God planted the seed. Through the years God has cultivated, watered and grew that seed and our hearts in various different ways and directions. Through His word and through the Holy Spirit He has shown us what He wanted us to be and do.. . We were a ministry of Evergreen Church in Springfield, Missouri for several years and that was great, however God has always led us to think outside of the box. We had the vision of racing outside of the wall of one church and becoming a non-profit organization. On August 17th 2007 God made that happen. . . Our hope and prayer at GearHead Ministries, Inc is that God will take our willing hearts and use our helping hands to reach out to each other as well as the lost that are around us. We may or may not be able to change the world as a whole, however, we CAN, with God, make a difference in our own worlds, one life at a time. Remember that God tells us in Galatians 6:2, “By helping each other with our troubles, we truly obey the law of Christ.”. . Our Belief:. We believe that there is one God in the form of three persons; The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit (The Trinity).. . We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He was born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, He was tortured and died on the cross at Calvary, in our place, He was put in a tomb and then God resurrected Him from the dead and He is returning.. . We believe that the Holy Bible is Truth and the inspired and infallible word of God. We believe that we are all sinners and in need of salvation. We believe that the only way to receive salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ!! We must all accept this free gift into our hearts.. . With all these truths in mind we proudly bear the title of Christians!. . We believe that as Christians we are commanded to Go forth and spread the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to our fellow man! . . Jesus said to his eleven deciples: "Then Jesus came to then and said, 'All Authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
