Detailed description is Codefest in Mumbai, India. 1. The Geek Challenge is a 30 day code competition that will commence from 1st August and end on 31st August. . . 2. We expect the student groups of no more than two programmars and one designer to build your applications during these 30 days. . . 3. Groups willing to participate will be chosen only by applications submitted to Brandmovers. To register send us a tweet with your team name. . . 4. Subsequently, send us an email at suva@brandmovers.com, with details of your team members and tell us in no more than 500 words why your team thinks they want to participate in the Geek Challenge and briefly about your product/service idea. At this stage, we do not expect all teams to have a strong business idea. However, we do expect you to have a strong passion in what you are building. And your motivation in changing the world.. . 5. You will be expected to code using open location/microblogging/mobile API's. You can distribute all development activities equally by having a configuration similar to the one mentioned below – . - UX/UI Designer: Design, Product look/feel, Creative Direction, etc. - Engineer/Programmer: Core product builder (API, server configurations, core code, databases, etc). - Developer/JS/HTML/CSS: Front-end implementation . . 6. Participants should be in the age group of 16-24 years old. The competition will be held in Mumbai, India. . . 7. Brandmovers will provide you with a cool workspace, pizza and enough beers to beat the summer heat. . . 8. The winning team will be judged on user experience, utility and robustness of your application. . . 9. A cash prize will be awarded to the top two teams. Currently, the first team will win a cash prize of Rs.75,000. The second team will win a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. However, if we have larger participation, then we might extend prizes to three teams instead of two from the pot of Rs. 1,00,000.. . Two lucky developers will be given an opportunity to intern with our new Indian team based out of Mumbai.
