Based in Sydney Australia, we are a local community group with volunteers from the Hills District (Castle Hill to Quakers Hill area) wanting to make assistance available where there seems to be a gap in the current system offerring help to families.. . Some families do not meet the criteria at the local welfare and community centres for help and we want to try to help those that fall through the cracks of the current welfare, charity and community system.. . We are 100% non profit community group that relys 100% on volunteers and the community gifting our families we are helping.. . WHAT DO WE DO?. . When we have supplies available to us, we help families needing food, care packages, baby goods, clothes, toilletries, toys, books, furniture, white goods, electricals, appliances, homewares, shoes, tradesmen and assist with medical requirements.. . We can also assist in finding meals for families in need and referring them to agencies or centres that can assist them with support or referrals to other resources.. . Give and Take not only help with "needs" items but also with "wants" items. We pride ourselves on being unique and modern with assisting families with everyday items that keep up with society. (For eg. to prevent bullying). . We have many volunteers that can help with deliveries and transport and have access to alot of suppliers for items of basic needs necessary for everyday life.. . WHO DO WE HELP?. . We will help anyone who asks for help, wherever possible for us to help. We help women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse. We help the homeless. We help families in financial hardship. We help families referred to us by agencies & family support centres. We help mums and dads in any kind of hardship . We help families having medical issues and requiring assistance with this. We help families affected by natural disasters (bushfires & floods). We are here to help families wanting to rebuild their lives or start fresh. . WHAT PART OF AUSTRALIA DO WE HELP?. . We are based in Sydney Australia. We focus on the Hills District and surrounding suburbs in the North West region of Sydney NSW.. We are happy to help our neighbours in the Hawkesbury region to Windsor and also our friends in the Blue Mountains affected by the recent bushfires.. . We are central around the suburb of Rouse Hill in Sydney but will assist families out of the area and can usually have gifts posted by mail to them.. . We will always prioritise our help to families with the highest need but do our best to accommodate everyone that asks as us for help.. . We can only offer help with what is available to us at that time.. . HOW CAN YOU HELP?. . Families that have nothing, can use items you no longer need anymore.. What you do not need and can give away, is usually something another family really needs or can use and appreciate.. . HOW DOES IT WORK?. . Using facebook, we update regularly information about our families and what they need. The members that follow our updates may have the items that we need and can contact us with a list of what they can gift to our families. We then arrange drop off or collection of the item from the person giving it too us, and we give it directly to the family in need..
