Department – Southern Asia Bible College (SABC-DL) is now officially the Global School of Open Learning of Centre for Global Leadership Development With an insight to the challenges of the new age, the SABC board and administration proposed to reach out to the learners, in the most flexible manner possible, in order to achieve its mission.
Thus began the South Asia Centre for Research in Education and Development (SACRED) Department of SABC which was later to be recognised as the Distance Learning Department..

SABC’s Distance Learning Department started in the year 2002 by offering Master of Divinity (Integrative) programme.
This programme draws the strength of both Distance Education and the Regular College System.
In the year 2003, the D.L.
Department (as it was known earlier) started offering the full-fledged Distance Learning Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) programme.
Later in 2005, the D.L.
Department commenced the Master of Divinity programme through distance learning mode..
