Detailed description is Gram Gymnastik- & Idrætsforening tilbyder underholdende og sportslige aktiviteter for alle alders grupper. Vores lokale og meget aktive forening tilbyder gymnastik, svømning, løbe- og gå hold. Gram Gymnastik- og Idrætsforening (GGI) er en forening under De Danske Gymnastik og Idrætsforeninger (DGI) – og vi har et nært samarbejde med DGI Sønderjylland, Haderslev-Rødding Egnen.. GGI blev grundlagt i 1950 under navnet Gram KFUM og K’s idrætsafdeling. I 1968 blev navnet ændret til Gram Håndboldklub, og i 1975 startede gymnastikken i foreningen. For en del år siden valgte man at opdele håndbold og gymnastik. Gram HK og Tiset UIF indledte holdfællesskab vedr. håndbold med navnet Gram/Tiset håndboldklub, – dog stadig som en datterforening. I 1998 blev navnet ændret til det nuværende Gram Gymnastik- og Idrætsforening. I 2007 blev GGI ved en ekstraordinær generalforsamling ”skilt” fra Gram/Tiset håndboldklub.. I september 2008 startede vi Begynderløbet, som nu hedder Slotsbyens Løbeklub. Af dette løbehold udsprang et Gåhold, som startede i januar 2009. Grundet vores succes afholdte vi i 2009 et Løb i byen – Energiløbet, som blev en succes. Hermed fortsatte vi tanken og arrangerede i forbindelse med Pinsen 2010 Slotsløbet. Pinsen 2011 kom Frøs med som hovedsponsor, og Frøs Slotsløb blev afviklet.. I 2012 startede vi en ny og spændende aktivitet op i foreningen. Svømmeundervisning i Gram Friluftsbad. Rigtig mange børn mødte op, så holdet blev en succes som fortsætter i 2013. Vi er glade for at kunne tilbyde børn motorisk træning i foråret også!. GGI ledes af en bestyrelse, som består af 5 medlemmer samt 2 suppleanter. Hvert medlem vælges for 2 år ad gangen.. Der afholdes generalforsamling 1 gang om året i februar måned. Bestyrelsen holder løbende møder, og der er instruktørmøder mindst 3 gange om året.. Sæsonen afsluttes med en opvisning i Gram Fritidscenter, som oftest ligger den sidste lørdag i marts (dog ikke i år, da dette er påsken). En del hold har desuden opvisninger i andre gymnastikforeninger..
