Detailed description is Πρωταρχικός στόχος για το σχολείο μας στην Αλτόνα είναι η διδασκαλία της ελληνικής γλώσσας, παιδείας και κουλτούρας στους μαθητές μας. Οι μαθητές μας προέρχονται από πολλά διαφορετικά γλωσσικά επίπεδα και έχουν διαφορετική σχέση με τα ελληνικά: Μπορεί να είναι η γλώσσα των παππούδων, από την οποία καταλαβαίνουν λίγες λέξεις, όπως μπορεί να είναι η πρώτη γλώσσα μέσα στην οικογένεια, χρησιμοποιούμενη καθημερινά για την επικοινωνία στο σπίτι.. Τα τμήματα του σχολείου μας έχουν δομηθεί με τρόπο ώστε να ανταποκρίνονται στις τόσο διαφορετικές αυτές ανάγκες των μαθητών μας. Οι εκπαιδευτικοί είναι όλοι από την Ελλάδα και έχουν υψηλό επίπεδο μόρφωσης, ενώ έχουν πλήρη συναίσθηση ότι στην ουσία κάθε μαθητής μας είναι κι ένα ξεχωριστό επίπεδο διδασκαλίας, και γνωρίζουν πώς να προσαρμόζουν τη διδασκαλία στις ανάγκες κάθε μαθητή ξεχωριστά. . Οι εγκαταστάσεις του Σχολείου είναι ιδιόκτητες και σύγχρονες και ανήκουν στην Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Κοινότητα του Χόμπσονς Μπέι. Βρίσκονται στον ίδιο χώρο με την νέα πανέμορφη εκκλησία της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου, στην Αλτόνα. Οι χώροι πληρούν πολύ υψηλές προδιαγραφές ασφάλειας (safety and security), ενώ εκσυγχρονίζονται και επεκτείνονται συνεχώς.. Η φιλοσοφία μας είναι ότι ο ρόλος του σχολείου δεν πρέπει να περιορίζεται μόνο στο επίπεδο της διδασκαλίας της ελληνικής γλώσσας. Κύριος σκοπός μας είναι η επαφή με τον Ελληνικό Πολιτισμό και τη παιδεία, τα ήθη και τα έθιμα του λάου μας, καθώς και η επαφή με την Ορθόδοξη πίστη μας. Θεωρούμε επίσης σημαντικό να ενθαρρύνουμε την ανθρώπινη επαφή μεταξύ των μαθητών μας και να συμβάλλουμε στη δημιουργία σχέσεων φιλίας και συνεργασίας. Τόσο η πρακτική μέσα στην τάξη, όσο και η διοργάνωση άλλων εκδηλώσεων (επισκέψεις, θεατρικά, παιχνίδια κλπ.) στοχεύουν στο να βοηθήσουμε στη δημιουργία των αυριανών ενεργών μελών της τοπικής και ευρύτερης Κοινότητάς μας..
