Türkiye'nin en güneyinde yer alan Hatay Havalimanı, 9 Aralık 2007'de açılmıştır.Havalimanı İskenderun ilçesine 45 km., Antakya ilçesine 25 km. uzaklıkta bulunmaktadır.Başbakan Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tarafından açılan Hatay Havalimanı 3000*45 metrelik 04/22 doğrultulu beton kaplama bir piste sahiptir. Dış hatlarda ilk etapta 4 Eylül 2008 tarihinde KKTC'ye karşı uçuşlar başlamıştır.Havalimanının bu yoğun trafiği sürekli artmakta, uçuş tarifelerine yeni seferler eklenmektedir.Hatay Havalimanı 20 Haziran 2008 tarihinde Uluslararası Hava Hudut Kapısı olarak ilan edilmiştir. 8 Mart 2011 tarihinde Hatay Havalimanı Yeni iç ve dış hatlar terminal binasının yapımı tamamlanmış ve dönemin başbakanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tarafından hizmete açılmıştır.
