Hannah and Caleb started Hello We Make Stuff in March 2009 from a spare bedroom having just moved from New Zealand to Australia during a recession. Having no choice but to create work for themselves as jobs were very scarce they started mucking around with ideas for jewellery. Polymer clay, resin, scrabble, dominos, you name it they tried it. The ones to stick; Dominos and Scrabble, were to go on and sell more than they could ever dream.. Having no choice but to use their creative sides and imaginations they came up with unique designs and products to please. The couple didn’t get a loan, instead sticking to slowly building the business one customer at a time.. A lot of hard work but worth it to have something that was built from the ground up, just Hannah and Caleb an honest and simple business, inspired to make fun, new, inspiring, handmade products for their customers and friends.. Adding the most popular product, glass dome handmade jewellery to their collection in 2011 they saw incredible growth and opportunity in design and customer and have grown in size and opportunity since.. It hasn’t happened over night, they didn’t get lucky; it has taken many years of hard work to get to this stage. In August 2010 they did the Life Instyle trade show for the first time, slowly taking on stores to the point where some of the best boutiques and galleries in Australia and the world are now stocking their products. One of the proudest moments in our history was been asked by The Tate Modern Gallery of London to stock their shop.. They went from making stuff in a spare bedroom to a workshop/office on the Northern beaches where they make and design new products in a creative environment. They have seen some crazy growth and it’s been a great ride. They really love their shops and they really love their customers and most of all they really love creating and design..
