Nestled away on a small country road in Callaway County stands the High Point Community Chapel. Founded in March of 1887, the chapel was originally named the High Point Christian Church. By 1890 the building of the church was completed. Sometime between 1944-1949, the church closed and then re-opened in November of 1953. In February of 1954, the church was wired for electricty and by December 1964, the church was closed once again. In 1965 the church was again re-opened but closed down once more in 1967 and was closed down until October of 1998, when Pastor Bob Vincent with the help of family and friends began renovation on the church. Sometime in early 2000 the church was completely rennovated and on April 23, Easter sunday, the church was rededicated as High Point Community Chapel.
