Hillcrest Primary is a K-6 school set in an expansive bushland environment 1.5km south west of the Devonport CBD. Our school offers a birth to 4 program for parents and their children which enables them to develop important connections. We are very fortunate to have a soccer ground, basketball court, netball court, swing sets, ECE and Primary play equipment and a large vegetable and fruit tree garden in our grounds. Hillcrest Primary school has been recognised for excellence in sustainability being awarded the 2011 Tasmanian Awards for Excellence in Education for Sustainability (AuSSI-Tas, The Alcorso Foundation, Keep Australia Beautiful-Tasmania, Replas). We are also a Move Well Eat Well school. Hillcrest has also been involved in the Federally funded Active After School Communities program for the last 3 years. Our classrooms are a mix of well appointed double and single units. Each is equipped with interactive whiteboards and new technologies which are fully integrated into our teaching and learning programs.
