Detailed description is The Housatonic Community College Student Senate functions to provide a voice for the students of the campus. The Student Senate is the leadership and government arm of the student body. It represents the entire student body on matters relating to the welfare of students. The senators are responsible for distributing the activity fees to the clubs/organizations to offer social, cultural, and recreational activities. Procedures for scheduling these activities are available from the Director of Student Life and in the HCC College Policies section of the Catalog. . . Joining the Student Senate helps the students learn and be a part of politics. By being a part of the Senate you also are enrolled in a 1 credit course that semester called Parliament and Procedures.. . Meetings are held every other Thursday at 2:15 p.m. room BH-317.
