The initial target population are Malaysian students aged between 17 and 25 that can't have access to presence higher education and yet want to have access to certified online degrees for better job opportunities and personal growth. Open University, as one of the project partners, will provide official certifications for the courses and degrees.. . Being this the initial population target, ILMU aspires, though My Mobile University online platform, to benefit other population groups, such as unprivileged children with poor access to schools, single parents or unemployed youths looking to upgrade their skills, while encouraging a lifelong learning culture among Malaysians.. . Whereas Malaysian population has free access to higher education, another important primary objective is to document and deliver tacit Malaysian culture among Malaysian population, in order to ensure the maintenance of the traditional culture.
