It is located 12 km from Kanjirapally town to the north, surrounded by Chemmalamattam, Mallikassery, Vilakumadam and Paika parishes of the Palai diocese, Elamgulam, Vanchimala and Kappadu parishes of Kanjirapally diocese. The foundation stone was laid on 31st May 1908. The renovation of the church was done in the year 1979 when Fr. Joseph Vazhayil was the vicar. The Shrine of Our Lady was blessed in 1952. The new Presbetry is completed in 1990. Devotion to Infant Jesus of Prague, St. Antony and St. Jude are postered in the premises of the church. The pastoral Centre was blessed and inaugurated by most Rev. Pedro Lopez Quinthana, the papal nuncio to India in 2008, when Fr. Antony Nediakalaparampil was the vicar. The main celebration of the church is of Infant Jesus of Prague on the second Sunday after Epiphany.
