Detailed description is Jessore University of Science and Technology also known as JUST is a government-financed public university in Bangladesh. This is the fourth public university in Khulna Division and the first public university in Jessore. It was established on 25 January 2007 and started four-year undergraduate courses from the 2008–2009 session.LocationJessore University of Science and Technology is located at Jessore Sadar. Post Code: Jessore-7408.HistoryJessore University of Science and Technology started functioning from the 2008–2009 session. The class of the first batch of the students was started on 10 June 2009. The first four departments are Computer Science & Engineering, Environmental Science & Technology, Microbiology and Fisheries and Marine Bioscience .In 2009, JUST added Nutrition & Food Technology, Industrial & Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum & Mining Engineering, Genetic Engineering & Bio-technology . In 2010, Pharmacy was added. In 2012 Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Physical Education and Sports Science were added. Consecutively, in 2013 four new departments are start functioning. Four new departments are- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics and English. Another two new departments Accounting and Information Systems, Agro Product Processing Technology were started from the academic 2015–16. In this academic year 2016–2017, one new department called Biomedical Engineering is started. JUST at a glance: The JUST is one of the most recent government-financed public universities for higher studies in Bangladesh. This is the fourth public university in Khulna Division and the first public university in Jessore district. It was established in 2007. About 710 undergraduate students are being admitted each year in eighteen departments under six faculties.
