Inicia su carrera musical participando en varias producciones con renombrados productores de Panamá como: "El Chombo" y "D.J.
Pablito", contribuyó en proyectos tales como "Planet Ganja 3", "Mafia", "El Imperio", "La Banda", "El Pentágono", "Exorcismo", "El Clan".

Para el año 2000, DJ Pablito, asociado con otro productor decidieron formar un grupo llamada "La Factoría", el cuál consistía de 3 artistas Panameños, uno siendo Joey Montana (antiguamente conocido como MC JOE), y sus acompañantes, Demphra y Joyce.

Después de compartir su talento bajo el nombre de la Factoría por 5 años exitosos, Joey Montana decide ejercer su carrera como solista, con su álbum titulado "Sin Cadenas" distribuido por Sony BMG en Sur América, con la participación de grandes artistas de la talla de Ángel López (ex vocalista de Son By 4).

Su talento fue reconocido por el icono de reggaetón a nivel mundial – Luny Tunes al ingresar dos de sus temas en un compilado musical con los máximos exponentes del genero para Europa y Estados Unidos.
