Detailed description is La Grange de Fabras is een oude boerderij in de Ardeche welke omgetoverd is tot een vakantieverblijf met 2 appartementen en enkele gites. Wij, Peter en Marjon, waren op zoek naar een huis in de Ardèche in Frankrijk. Oktober 2013 kwamen wij in contact met een makelaar die ons de oude boerderij in Fabras liet zien. Het regende die dag pijpenstelen maar we waren op slag verliefd. Enkele dagen later terug gegaan, de zon scheen volop en het zag er nog mooier uit! Maar........ er moest nog heel veel gebeuren. We hebben onderzocht of het haalbaar zou zijn en hebben uiteindelijk de knoop doorgehakt. Op 4 april 2014 tekenden wij en zijn de de trotse eigenaren geworden van een oude boerderij met vele mogelijkheden, 9 ha land met heel veel bomen en heel veel werk aan de winkel! De appartementen in het gebouw zijn in 1980 verbouwd, dus verouderd maar nog wel bruikbaar. Daar verblijven we als we er zijn, met onze hulptroepen. Er wordt op dit moment veel opgeruimd, schoongemaakt, gemaaid en gesnoeid. Op 5 mei stond de verhuiswagen voor de deur en konden onze spullen voor het grootste deel al een voorlopige plek vinden in de appartementen. Totdat onze woning klaar is.Maar dat duurt nog even. Half juni zal er begonnen worden met vervanging van het dak van het oude gedeelte van de woning en het bijgebouwtje. We zullen de voortgang van de verbouwing op de pagina zetten zodat iedereen de vorderingen en belevenissen kan meemaken.. We hopen juni - juli 2015 gereed te zijn voor de eerste gasten..........
