Ans: Der „kleine Mann“ aus Dettelbach kam 2001 noch während der Schulzeit als Praktikant ins Funkhaus Würzburg. Es war sofort die große Liebe und der Plan stand fest. Schnell noch das Abitur fertig machen und dann ab in die Radiowelt. Nach einem Volontariat, einer Zeit als Chef vom Dienst in der Funkhaus-Redaktion kam 2005 der kurzzeitige Abschied nach Schweinfurt zu Radio PrimaTon. Dort stellte er sich einem Leben als Allrounder. Ob als Redakteur, Chef vom Dienst, Morning-Show oder Feierabend-Moderator - es gab wenige Posten, die er dort nicht durchlief. Im Sommer 2007 fand er allerdings wieder den Weg zurück zu seiner „alten Liebe“ Radio Gong. Mit dem Würzburger Sender ist der gebürtige Dettelbacher aufgewachsen und war fast 10 Jahre lang ein Teil des Programms. Über 4 Jahre lang moderierte „Matze“ dort die Feierabendshow zwischen 15.00 und 18.00 Uhr. Neben dem Radiostudio scheut er auch keine Bühne dieser Welt. Ob als Eishockey- Stadionsprecher bei den Schweinfurter Mighty Dogs oder Hallensprecher der s.Oliver Baskets in der ersten Bundesliga, ob Gala-Abende oder Firmenfeiern und natürlich DAS Highlight im Sommer 2011: Der "D-Day" vor der Würzburger Residenz, als 15.000 Fans den Würzburger NBA-Champion Dirk Nowitzki gefeiert haben. Sein großer Wunsch von einem Leben in München wurde im Herbst 2011 Wirklichkeit. Nach der Zusage für eine Stelle in der Redaktion des neuen Pay-TV Senders "SKY SPORTNEWS HD" ging es binnen 3 Wochen raus aus der Heimat und rein in die Welt des Sportimperiums SKY. Im Februar 2013 erfüllte sich dann ein nie für möglich gehaltener Traum. Für spox.com durfte Matze an der Seite der beiden Kommentatorengrößen Frank Buschmann und Markus Krawinkel als Kommentator der NBA-Spiele ran ans Mikro. Der nächste "neue" Lebensabschnitt begann im August 2013. Seitdem berichtet "Matthias Bielek" als Reporter live von vor Ort zahlreicher Sportevents von der Bundesliga über die Vierschanzentournee bis zur Basketball-Europameisterschaft. Die Liebe zum Radio ging aber nie verloren. Ab April 2016 darf der Franke als "Springer" in der Moderation bei Gong 96,3 München ans Mikro. Ab der Wintersaison 2016/2017 gehts für Matze ab in den Schnee. Er übernimmt als Kommentator alle Skisprung-Events. Sein ständiger Co-Kommentator ist Skisprung-Legende Sven Hannawald.
