Detailed description is The Institution has a glorious history. The school had a humble beginning in a small home. In the Year 1972, the nursery school was started by the management of Model Education Centre in the bustling place of Yelahanka Old Town, Bangalore. Thirty Four years ago, yelahanka was a small town. Even the thought of womens education may have seemed absurd to many. But Smt. Vishalakshmamma founder had a great vision for literacy of the girl child. Despite the limited resources and various other obstacles, her ambitions went ahead to start a "Girls High School" in the year 1973 with Govt. of Karnataka permission. The nursery school and the high school gave an opportunity to educate especially those belonging to the economically weaker section of the society.. . The year 1980 was a significant year. The school started English medium section in the high school. In the year 1981, the Government of Karnataka accorded sanction for English Medium Primary School; imparting education to I to VII standards. In the same year, permission was also granted by the education department for co-education in the High School Section.. . Over the decade, Yelahanka New Town (developed by KHB), blossomed into a full fledged township and this brought about the need for an alternative form of education. The management thus started C.B.S.E. with the permission from the Government to open C.B.S.E school in the year 1982.. . A lot of improvement took place under the Leadership of Mr. K.B.Shanmukhappa President and Mr. N Chandrashekar Secretary. In order to improve the qualitative change in academic excellence of the students, several steps were taken, such as strengthening of infrastructure. In 1990, the High School was moved to New Town Yelahanka and many changes took place in the teaching method of the school.. . The students academic excellance in SSLC Examination made Management to think of expansion and in year 1992, MEC Pre - University College was started. The school has a strength of 1300 students on its rolls. To ensure versatile development of the personality, the school has various extra-curricular activities, eg. science club, school projects, children's exhibitions, health education, sport activities & students alumni association.. . The year 1995 saw a new development in education sector - the computer lab was setup in the school to provide computer training from III to X standards. Presently the Computer Lab is equipped with latest systems and Audio Visual Room with sufficient infrastructure.
