This is a fantastic new cycling event on Melbourne Cup long weekend starting with the Mt Buller Uphill on Sat 2nd, 16.5 km of pure climbing open to anyone on two wheels. Divisions include road bikes, mountain bikes, vintage, fixies, clubs, corporate teams, vets, masters, grand masters, and mixed teams. The uphill kicks off at 5pm on Sat Nov 2nd. Compulsory safety briefings will be held on the day of the race in Mansfield and Mt Buller. Riders will also be able to pick up their entry kits and timing devices. Other events include a welcome dinner and award ceremony followed by the cycling film fest at 8.30pm Sat Nov 2nd. Sunday 3rd is free to do what you want the Mon/Tues 4th/5th is the Multiday tour: Tick off two more of the seven peaks with a 4 day tour of the high country. Does that sound like fun!
