He has been a full-time, professional musician for nearly 20 years earning his living touring with some of Australia’s best known and loved entertainers. Having travelled all over Australia and the world playing music, Michael has often found himself fascinated by the people he has met and the places he has been lucky enough to travel to. Often, he has found himself reaching for a camera to capture a moment, an incredible scene or somebody’s story.. . “I’ve always been inspired by the camera. Images captured by the camera was something that always intrigued me from a young age”.. . People are sometimes fortunate that their inspiration hits them in a single moment and Michael’s moment came with the birth of his first child. Initially, he was intending to capture those magical moments of his daughter’s childhood with his camera, as private keepsakes for himself and his wife but that changed when a friend called to say they loved his photo’s and asked if he would do photo shoot for their young family. Before he knew it he was being asked to travel all over the country to shoot family portraits, weddings and promotional material for musicians and companies.. . Michael now has many years of professional photography experience. He has done shoots for Westpac Bank and Hearing Australia amongst many others and most recently he shot the images for Australian Country Music star Troy Cassar-Daley’s “Freedom Ride” Album. He also had the honour of shooting Country Music star, Catherine Britt’s wedding and his images were used in National publication Woman’s Day’s story on the singer’s big day.. . Well respected amongst the photography community he has spent countless hours practicing his art, developing his technique, honing his skills and exploring new ideas with his mentors.
