Detailed description is Der Mont Aimé ist ein Berg in Frankreich.GeschichteAuf dem 240 Meter hohen Gipfel wurden zahlreiche Überreste aus prähistorischer Zeit gefunden. Wahrscheinlich befand sich dort einst ein gallisches Oppidum; weitere Funde weisen darauf hin, dass Ludwig II. von Frankreich im Jahre 877 dort residierte.1210 errichtete man unter Blanka von Navarra eine Burg, die allerdings im 15. Jahrhundert wieder verlassen wurde. Vor dieser Burg wurden am 13. Mai 1239 auf Veranlassung des Inquisitors Robert dem Bulgaren 183 Häretiker verbrannt. Von dem Bauwerk zeugen heutzutage nur noch Ruinen.Von einem Ort in der Nähe zogen 1815 französische Truppen gegen Zar Alexander I.Während der Schlacht an der Marne vom 5. bis 12. September 1914 befand sich am Berg die zentrale Front der Kaiserlichen Armee.
