Le musée départemental Arles antique, dit musée bleu, est un musée construit à Arles en 1995, dans un bâtiment moderne conçu par l'architecte Henri Ciriani, sur la presqu'île où se trouvait l'ancien cirque romain pour abriter les collections archéologiques particulièrement riches de la ville. Il dépend du conseil départemental des Bouches-du-Rhône. Il bénéficie d'une extension en 2012.HistoriqueDès le les autorités locales ont sensibilisé les Arlésiens à la préservation de leur patrimoine. En effet, elles organisèrent, en 1614, dans la « Maison commune », la première présentation d'une collection publique d'antiquités.
