Detailed description is . Le Muséum d'histoire naturelle de Rouen a été fondé en 1828 par Félix Archimède Pouchet (1800-1872). Il occupe le couvent Sainte-Marie à Rouen. Il a le label musée de France. Il fait partie de la Réunion des musées métropolitains Rouen Normandie depuis le janvier 2016.Le docteur Georges Pennetier en fut le conservateur de 1873 à 1923 puis Robert Régnier de 1924 à 1965.De par la richesse et la diversité de ses collections, il conserve plus de 500000 objets et spécimens provenant du monde entier.Fermé pendant 10 ans, et après 6 mois de travaux axés sur la mise aux normes et la sécurité, le musée est ouvert depuis le 23 février 2007, de 13h30 à 17h30 du mardi au samedi et de 14h à 18h le dimanche.
