Detailed description is NANDA’s mission is to bring together local and global communities through live performance art..NANDA started as a four man performing arts group and has since evolved into a full scale event production company with a focus of producing internationally accessible live theater shows. Childhood friends Misha Fradin, Chen Pollina & brothers Tomoki and Kiyota Sage joined forces in 2004 to present their first production ”Once Upon a Time in P-Town” a comedy based on their experiences growing up and living in the Pacific Northwest. Written and directed entirely by NANDA, this feature-length theater performance received overwhelming community support and great reviews from the local press. Inspired by the success of “PTown”, Nanda decided to continue working together, developing a unique combination of mixed martial arts, acrobatics, circus arts, dance, music and comedy they branded: “Acrobaticalism”. Not knowing exactly where their paths would lead, and sharing a desire to dabble in any . art form, they dubbed themselves “NANDA”, a Japanese colloquial expression used in reaction to something surprising or unexpected. “WHAT!?!” Between 2005 & 2007 Nanda toured with the New Old Time Chautauqua, a traveling Vaudeville community started by The Flying Karamazov Brothers, Patch Adams and others. In 2007 Port Townsend native and childhood friend Danny Milholland joined Nanda as manager and communications coordinator. More recently, opportunities to perform have snowballed and their resume now includes performances at The . Moisture Festival, The Oregon Country Fair, Bumbershoot and tours throughout the US, Mexico and Canada, where they perform for schools, theaters, festivals and for private and corporate events. Their continued . exposure to world class entertainers and event producers within the ‘new vaudeville’ and ‘variety’ communities has helped Nanda to hone their skill, talent and vision - and to become increasingly well-known throughout North America. During Spring 2010 the group began crafting their first all Nanda feature length theater show, entitled “The Jacket” and debuted their refined production to a packed house at the Bagley Wright Theater (842 seats) during Bumbershoot 2010. Nanda has spent the past year fine-tuning every aspect of the show in preparation for their October run of shows in Seattle. On March 11th, 2011 the members of Nanda were proclaimed to be official Cultural Ambassadors by the Mayor of Port Townsend, WA. .
