Com o crescimento das atividades abriu o primeiro ponto de venda na Rua Dr. João Moreira, passando logo depois para a Av. Tristão Gonçalves, com a distribuição de materiais elétricos, hidráulicos e sanitários. Em 1986 foi construída uma nova sede na Av. Antonio Sales, no bairro Dionísio Torres, ocasião em que passou a atender ao tímido varejo da época. Em 1995, após a primeira grande reforma, todo o espaço utilizado como depósito foi transformado em loja de auto-serviço e a Normatel formalizou as atividades como uma empresa 100% varejista. Em recente pesquisa realizada pela revista Anamaco (Associação Nacional dos Revendedores de Materiais de Construção), a Normatel Home Center foi eleita pela 8ª. Vez consecutiva como a maior rede de material de construção do Ceará, a 4ª do Nordeste e 25ª do Brasil.
