Established in 2008, the garden is an organic non-profit grass-roots venture. It features a large area designated as communal beds (approx. 5 acres), 2 chook runs, greenhouse and a communal gathering space with a kitchen and stage.. The gardeners have planted a plethora of fruit trees.. . Visitors to the garden are asked to be respectful and gentle. The garden sustains itself by hard work and the generosity and honesty of the community. Contributions are made in the form of donations, materials or by working in the garden.. . Regular working bees. Working bees are held on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month from 2pm (or noon during non- Daylight Savings). Everyone is welcome to come along and help with general garden maintenance, learning new skills or to work on one of our projects..
