Detailed description is The Institute was founded in Lismore in 1994 by Steve Vinay Gunther in order to offer training to people living in the Northern Rivers Region. The institute operated for 18 years. During this time it evolved from a 300hr, 3 year program, to a 1200hr, 4 year Post-Graduate Diploma of Gestalt Therapy, accredited by GANZ & the Education Dept. International presenters were invited each year, and a large curriculum was covered, consisting of 36 units. The accreditation was held jointly with two other institutes - Sydney and Illawarra under the umbrella of East Coast Gestalt..
