The Olio Bello story began with a vision when an American couple fell in love with a rundown dairy farm situated on undulating land with sweeping views in Cowaramup, Margaret River.. . Seeing the opportunity to rehabilitate the land as a vibrant ecosystem, they began revegetating the 320 acre property and planting thousands of native trees and shrubs, introducing olives in 1992. Since then, 10,000 trees comprising 14 different varieties have been planted. Our first olives were harvested in 1998 and since then, Olio Bello has steadily gained industry recognition, becoming one of the most awarded producers of organic extra virgin olive oil in Australia.. .
