Detailed description is One Heart is working in Kenya to alleviate poverty faced by orphaned children by providing a loving home, quality education and hope for a new future. One Heart was founded in 2007. We are currently developing a large children's village that will eventually provide a home for 100 orphaned and abandoned children in a series of 4 loving family homes. The village will also house a primary and secondary school, a large farm plus a 1200 head chicken farm that will generate an income for the homes and allow it to operate as a leading example of an ‘eco-village’ that will demonstrate sustainable architecture and a unique model that will see the homes become financially self sustainable within several years.
