One More For The Road Charity song was written by Shane Lynch, Boyzone, and his buddies Mark Brightman and Kris Spurling who performed on the original track 9 years ago and was kindly donated to the Homeless & Near Homeless through His Friend Maureen O Halloran on behalf of Maria Sheridan for the @Simon Communities Ireland, to raise funds for those who find themselves needing support from all of us.
It's an Irish solution to an Irish Problem.
The reason the song came to be donated, is because of a young lady who touched the heart of Maureen O Halloran with her story.

A few months ago, a friend of mine Called Maria Sheridan, came home from touring the world with a famous group, where she worked as a nanny.
Her life was fast and energetic, as you can imagine being on tour all the time..

In 2010 Maria Divorced and lost her home.
She ended up couch hopping, and survived on her savings.
Maria tried in vain to find work, her savings ran out, she was ashamed and felt she could not turn to anyone.
She let her daughter go to a family member , & Maria moved into a shelter for the homeless..

Maria had hit a rock bottom scenario and considered taking her life.
Thankfully she did not do it, She had One More Sleep, You could say, One for the road.
For some strange reason, out of the blue, on 19th January 2012 came help, in the form of Crosscare.
Maria was helped up off her knees, and her life was turned around.
Maria is now writing a book about her experiences.

On Hearing Maria's story, Maureen O Halloran decided to ask her @Cannonball Ireland Buddie, Shane Lynch aka #BillyRayNoJob for a song that could be released to raise funds to help the homeless and Near Homeless of Ireland, I wanted to help Maria find a way of giving back to society the help she had received, Shane kindly without hesitation offered us a song that him and his buddies had recorded in a pub some years ago, a real diddly i type of song, pure irish in tune to say the least, I knew it was perfect for what we wanted to do, the words were amazing, one more story, one more moment, one more for the road..

Maureen came up with the idea of getting Irish music artists and celebs into studio and record the song to raise funds for those in need here in Ireland.
Maureen & Maria set about getting the contacts on board and before long we had a studio with Dav Nagle and Al Cowan, Pop Star Studios and Sonic Studios, then we got our hands on one of the top event Production managers in the business Maire Ni Chuinneagain to come on board and Top Celebrity Photographer Una Williams and Video Production Genius Karl Hayden, Video Producer Tony Bohan, now we were set, between all of us we managed to get some amazing Irish artists came on board to Sing and to produce it all free of charge.
A few good friends who work in all areas of Media also sang on the CD.
