Paul Wagner is the Founder, Artistic Director and Master Teacher of the school and Ms. Barbara Arms, is a Master Teacher and Associate Artistic Director. The School has a full schedule of classes serving the Coachella Valley-- Palm Springs Area of California for children to adults of all ages--beginners to professionals. Mr. Wagner's professional experience includes The Joffrey Ballet where he was the Company Manager under Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino, he was a Soloist with The Pennsylvania Ballet and artist and special guest artist Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. He was General Manager of the Cincinnati Ballet under David McClain and his teachers and mentors have been some of the greatest names in the last half century of international dance. He has been teaching for more than 40 years. He was Founder and Artistic Director or two professional chamber ballet companies. Mr. Wagner has choreographed over thirty critically acclaimed ballets with high praise from dance critics from coast to coast. He toured extensively as a professional dancer and soloist with two major international companies. As part of his touring experiences he also conducted lecture demonstration performances at dozens of colleges and universities across the country and was an instrumental force in the expansion of professional dance in America throughout the 1960's and 70's He was a special guest lecturer to the Yale MBA program on the subject of Arts and Arts Management. . . Ms. Arms was a Principal Dancer of the world famous Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo for eleven years and then spent a remarkable 26 years as a Professor at Cal State Fullerton as Director of their Dance program and company. Ms. Arms' own teachers over her long and storied career include some of the greatest teachers, directors and choreographers in the history of dance. Her legacy at Cal State is carried in the hearts and minds of the devoted students with whom she shared the greatness of dance as someone who actually "walked the walk" of a Principal Dancer and Ballerina of the famed Ballet Russe. The word Ballerina is tossed and bandied about erroneously by the novice and ill informed--in the case of Barbara Arms she has earned the title as it was meant to be used and is exactly that--a "Ballerina" --the real thing--the pinnacle of the profession.
