Detailed description is Le pont Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao est une série de ponts et de tunnels qui va relier Zhuhai, Hong Kong et Macao. Sa construction a débuté le.DescriptionCette construction de 55 kilomètres devrait coûter de dollars. La continuité des tabliers des ponts est atteinte en septembre 2016. La construction implique également 1 tunnel sous la mer de 6,7 kilomètres et 2 îles artificielles aux extrémités est et ouest. Le pont principal s'étend sur 22,9 kilomètres. Sa superstructure en acier pèse 400 000 tonnes (l'équivalent de 60 tour Eiffel). Les pylônes de maintien adpotent chacun une forme différente : nœud chinois, dauphin, voile.Le trajet commence à l'ouest par un embranchement depuis Zhuhai et depuis Macao vers une île à l'est de Macao (contrôle immigration et douane), puis un pont central suspendu et un passage en tunnel mèneront jusqu’à l'île aéroportuaire hongkongaise de Lantau. Au départ de Hong-Kong, le contrôle de l'immigration et de la douane se feront dans un immeuble actuellement en construction près de l'aéroport de Hong Kong; les voitures à destination de la Chine longeront ensuite l'île de Lantau avant de sortir du territoire hongkongais et traverser l'estuaire de la Rivière des Perles. Ce projet créera un point de passage supplémentaire aux passages actuels de frontière entre la Zone de Hong Kong et la Chine.
