Detailed description is Poultry n Paddok endeavours to breed Rhode Island Reds, Orpingtons, Faverolles and Hamburghs to standard as well as preserve/develop scarce colours. Since acquiring our first poultry in 2011, we’ve toiled towards the goal of breeding rare heritage fowl according to the Australian Standard, particularly Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, Hamburghs and Faverolles although we have sideline breeds of Sussex and Wyandottes. The goal of breeding quality Orpingtons in rare and atypical colours is slowly coming together and our progress will be shared with this page. . . All our fowl are hatched and raised on our property with the strong belief that good management plus freedom to roam is what makes a happy healthy bird. We hope to see more of these breeds in both breeders pens and backyard flocks so excess cockerels/pullets will be available for sale each season.
