Singing, dancing, playing percussion instruments and musical games stimulate the children's creativity and imagination.. Children participate in a carefully planned and sequential program. As well as introducing musical concepts such as beat, rhythm, dynamics, form and notation, our program develops the whole child by encouraging children's speech development, listening skills, social skills and physical skills.. Franchise owner and teacher Kitty Skeen was a youngster in Bendigo herself thirty years ago, and has genuine enthusiasm for music, believing music education to be of a vital importance to young people (and their parents!). Kitty is a musician, theatre performer, chorister, teacher, and Mum of two mini maestros. She is excited to be offering the Mini Maestros program to the children of Bendigo for the first time, and cannot wait to contribute in a small way to Bendigo’s thriving musical and cultural scene. . Kitty is offering a three week trial for age groups 6 months to 24 months and two to four years on Wednesday and Friday Mornings in the Anderson Room at St Paul’s Cathedral, commencing on Friday 4th March 2016. Also, look out for Kitty at local Early Learning Centres, your Maternal and Child Health Nurse Centre, Kindergartens and markets, where short demonstrations will be held throughout January and February..
