No dia 14 de setembro de 1978, atendendo à convocação da Igreja Batista em Bebedouro, reuniram-se em concílio os pastores José Nazareno de Cerqueira, Evilásio Rodrigues Prado, Salvador Alves de Aguiar, Boyd Allen O’Neal, José Tavares de Souza, José Guedes dos Santos, Jonas Bispo Pereira e Ubirajara da Silva, para a organização da Igreja. . . O pastor Evilásio Rodrigues Prado, assumiu a direção dos trabalhos da Primeira Igreja Batista no Tabuleiro, que possuía cerca de 30 membros. “Pastorear esta igreja, foi um privilégio concedido por Deus, além do grande presente em conseguirmos uma das ruas principais de acesso ao bairro”, disse o pastor Evilásio Rodrigues.. . Ao longo desses 29 anos a PIB no Tabuleiro já foi pastoreada pelos seguintes pastores: Evilásio Rodrigues Prado, Samuel Freitas Cerqueira, Israel Pinto Pimentel, Davi Lourenço, Gerson de Assis Perruci, Irland Pinto Pimentel, Mauro Martins Leite, Jonas Bispo Pereira e o atual pastor Anderson Damião Nunes.. . .
