Detailed description is Completion of a 18 room school building complex in the Schiefflin community for the less fortunate children to be offered free education from Kg to grade 9 As a result of fifteen(15) years of civil conflict experienced in Liberia, many families within our surrounding communities/villages are faced with a chain of disruptive situations which impedes their functioning and development.. . This is evident by the unprecedented number of the target population (children, delinquent youth and unskilled parents) experiencing permanent hunger, squalid living conditions, periodic eidemic-disease a rate of infant mortality ten to twenty times greater than those experienced in industrialised countries, a reduced life expectancy and severe physical and mental weaknesses. . . These target population devoting themselves full time to the exigencies of mere survival are inadvertently cut off from a source of scholastic opportunities which would make their learning processes attractive and affordable. . . These are adversely affected by the bureaucracy and constraint of National Government in the delivery of basic social services to its war affected people.. . Even though, there are several other denominational institutions or . agencies asserting efforts to help find remedy to these complex situations, but their programming activities lack the practical approach support system (PASS) for effecting fundamental or structural change within our society-leaving serious severe gaps (e.g. a considerate proportion of the target population have diverse problems (needs that are not being addressed.) . . In the absence of a structure, with the requisite resourceful support to provide a network of quality education and or functional literacy learning programming activities to help disadvantaged and illiterate single parents regain access to adequate income to start the learning process of hundreds of children, teen-age pregnancy and marriage, deprivation, impoverishment and etc. impeding the target population development capacities will be relentless. . .
