REFORMA de Florida is a non-profit organization that supports the efforts of library professionals, paraprofessionals and community supporters, who develop, provide, and advocate for, excellent library services in Latino communities in Florida. . . Many Florida Reformistas have worked tirelessly to have a REFORMA presence in Florida. As we move forward, my presidential objective is first and foremost to lay a solid foundation for the organization’s future growth. Awareness of the reactivation of the FL Chapter has created a buzz among Florida Reformistas, and their energy to participate and create programs and services is palpable. I feel honored to be leading such an outstanding group of dedicated individuals whose initiative, creativity, and desire to serve their community surpass the uncertainty of our current economic prospects. It is because I value and respect each and every individual’s time, effort and expertise, that I lead this organization exercising careful analysis, outlining clear objectives, enhancing communication, defining our organizational structure, planning strategically, and devising methods of accountability.
