Detailed description is We are a Christian Family reformed in Baptist doctrine looking to start a church in Eldon/Lake of the Ozarks in 2017. Our vision for a local church in Eldon is to glorify God by equipping believers and evangelizing the lost. We have observed there is a desperate need for Biblical teaching and fellowship in the Lake of the Ozarks area and in today’s culture in general. This church will be reformed in its doctrine; comparable to and influenced by John MacArthur, R.C. Sproul, Voddie Baucham, Paul Washer, among others. . We will practice the sufficiency of Scripture. This means, the Bible is fully adequate and authoritative for everything pertaining to life, salvation, and the ordering of the church and family. For this reason, we will seek to have a Biblical basis for all practices in the church. We will be committed to expository (verse by verse) teaching and music with lyrics saturated by good doctrine. This church will be age/family integrated. This means believers of all ages will worship together as one unified body. After our weekly Sunday worship, we will have fellowship meals. We have found this to be invaluable for growing together as believers.. The church will be lead by multiple pastors/elders. The local church’s giving will be used to meet the needs of the believers such as medical bills, food, housing and other important needs decided on by the elders and/or finance leader/treasurer. Additionally, the church will seek to fund Biblical ministries such as adoption, care of widows, and evangelism. . Finally, rather than having multiple services and programs, we believe in simple church life where Christians are an active part of one another’s daily lives; fellowshipping through meeting in homes, Bible studies, prayer, eating together, going out, child play dates, times of crisis, etc. In this, we will seek to grow to become the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work (Ephesians 4:15-16)..
