Richmond West Primary School is located in the densely populated inner suburb of Richmond in close proximity to the CBD. The school caters for students from culturally, linguistically and socio-economically diverse families. There is a large cohort of students whose families are employed in professional careers. These families have specifically selected this school to access the Chinese bilingual program. Some parents live outside the immediate Richmond area and travel considerable distances to get to the school or have moved into the area to be closer.. . A highlight of the school is the well-established bilingual program that supports and encourages children in the development of Chinese, Vietnamese and English, as first and second languages.
