The Ride the Range Challenge starts at Picnic Point, the most Easterly point of Toowoomba City, overlooking spectacular views of the Lockyer Valley.. The descent for the 60klm and the 100klm ride will begin from 6am. Taking every opportunity to beat the waves of summer heat. An added factor to think about in this challenge.. The descent offers varying terrain and stunning views over the countryside as you bike along Flagstone Creek Rd meandering amongst the country hills and valleys within the vegetable bowl of Queensland. This is a chance for you to make the most of the quiet roads and view the spectacular fruit and vegetable patchwork of the Lockyer valley and Gatton district before the non relenting challenge of the ascent back to Picnic Point in Toowoomba via Blanchview Rd. The trip will be supported throughout by 'sag wagon' or bus if you need a rest! .
