At the first outset, I convey my greetings and good wishes to all our member and well-wishers of our organization. The organization has completed 43 years on the way to render various welfare activities to serve the rural and urban poor women, children and aged men in south 24 pgs and other district of west Bengal. Before going to describe welfare measures taken by organization, we have to see the economical as well as social status of the inhabitant in our operational area. Most of the inhabitants are living below the poverty line. They are solely depended upon agricultural works and some of them are engaged in different allied jobs. They have to compel to spare most of their earnings to arrange their breads and minimum clothing, so they are unable to meet their basic need of their life. Due to poverty, they are not getting proper education, cultural and awareness. Their health and hygiene are also neglected in the every field of life and ultimately they become the burden of the society. Illiteracy, ill health and malnutrition causes the destruction of the backward of the nation and without their development it is very difficult to established a healthy society as they will be the main obstruction on the way of our sustainable development. Our organization deeply think over the matter and come forward to light a candle of education in order to remove the darkness of illiteracy, to arrange nutritious foods and medicines for their good, in order to established a sound mind in them. We have started the following programmes for their development.. . Destitute Home. : We have started a destitute home for 6-18 yeas children. There are 100 seats. They are receiving notorious, foods, medicines, clothing, cultural and sports activities, recreational tour etc. from 1987 -2013. The inmates of that home who have appeared in the Madhyamik Examination, have passed in the said examination. None of them have failed in this examination. In due course they are all stand on their won feet in the society.. . Short Stay Home. : We have running the unit for distress women from 15-35 years women. They are receiving foods, shelter, medicines, clothing and various types of training. After receiving the training women are working in various Hospitals and Nursing home as nurse and Aya and others are engaged in their own business of tailoring and cutting. Now they have secured a sound position in the society.. . Swadhar Shelter Home. : This home is mainly for mentally ill women. They are receiving foods, medicine, clothing’s, cultural and sports activities, training and recreation tour etc. free of cost. Already we have rehabilitated 56 inmates through this centre.. . Family Counseling Centre. : This is a centre to meet up the family dispute through thorough counseling by expert counselors. We have received 633 cases and we have settled about 511 cases during this period. They are all happily pass their lives.. . Creche. : the organization has started a crèche unit from 0-5 years children. They are looking after by two experts Ayas. There are 25 seats; we have collected the children from the poor family to help their mother to earn their livelihood.. . After running five programmes the organization has received a remarkable result on the way towards the betterment of the society during 43 years. We are trying our best to do some meaningful activities for uplipment of the poor and weaker section of the society. In this regards we are received the cooperation from our members and our sympathizes to run these programs successfully, without their heartiest help, it is not possible to successful our motto.. .
