No ano de 1979, dois anos após a divisão do Estado, criou-se a Federação do Comércio, juntamente com o Conselho Regional do SENAC/Sesc, formando assim, o Sistema Fecomércio.. . O SENAC MS - com a criação do Estado e consequentemente da Federação do Comércio do Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul - instalou-se como Regional em 31 de março de 1980. Assim, a Instituição intensifica seu papel ativo no desenvolvimento do Estado, especialmente na capital.. . O SENAC em Mato Grosso do Sul começou com apenas uma Unidade de Formação Profissional, e hoje a estrutura do SENAC/MS compreende a Administração Regional, Senac Campo Grande, Senac Beleza e Moda, Senac EAD, Senac Aquidauana, Dourados, Três Lagoas e Corumbá, e duas Unidades Móveis instaladas nos municípios onde o Senac não possui unidade física. Anualmente, o Senac atende aproximadamente 20.000 pessoas, em programações de nível básico, técnico e de ações extensivas à Educação Profissional, em diversas áreas de formação: Comércio, Gestão, Imagem Pessoal, Turismo e Hospitalidade, Saúde, Informática.
