She started training in bharatnatyam and continued for 8 years along with her studies. . . Shakti topped the Mumbai University, St. Xaviers College in the year 2006, this gave her a boost to pursue IAS as a career. . . Terence Lewis Dance Foundation Scholarship Trust offered Shakti a three year scholarship in dance , she continued with her masters in political science along with her dance training. Shakti, with her growing love for contemporary dance form was offered a position in Terence Lewis office for her administrative skills.. . After her graduation from prestigious dance school, Shakti took her dance to the national level by auditioning for the most watched dance reality show “Dance India Dance” season 2. Shakti emerged a winner and was also awarded the performer of the series. . . Shakti Mohan with the fame and popularity continued with her dance training in Mumbai and Vienna. She also went to Broadway Dance Center, New York to train in Contemporary and Hip hop, leaving the dance based fiction show “Dil dosti Dance” on channel V where she played a protagonist.. . Shakti has performed for various award nights and performances in India and all over the world like USA, Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius, Macau, Maldives, Israel, Egypt, Australia, Bangkok, Singapore to name a few.. .
