Detailed description is . On December 31st 2011 three unorganised, unsupervised, domesticated cats will be let out to roam the unforgiving Indian wilderness in a bid to conquer The Rickshaw Run: 2500 perilous kilometres through Indias neglected roads and anarchic traffic.. . Not real cats of course, that would be cruel. The cats to which we refer are:. Simon Hofmeister, Jonny Ewles and Sam Goss.. . Anyway.... . ...from the barren desert of Rajasthan to the ancient port of Cochin, these intrepid travellers have only themselves and a battered wagon at their disposal to get from A to B (via C,E and possibly J).. . It's an adventure, sure. But with adventure comes great responsibility. The responsibility to understand the facets of a country simmering with cultures and customs far removed from theirs, and to give something back to the country that's welcomed them in with open (hopefully) arms.. . So in the spirit of this, we will persevere to raise above and beyond £1000, for a charity that has the passion and humanity to help us help India: FRANKwater - www.frankwater.com. . Obviously the purpose of this 'event' is to let you all know about this and encourage you to donate via our just giving page: www.justgiving.com/catsinahottintuk. . HOWEVER. . We also have a blog which we'll be updating with pretty much anything relating to India over the next 4 months which will hopefully provide you with some entertainment in return for your kindness.. . YOU CAN ALSO DONATE FOR FREE!. . We also have our very own webshop: http://www.buy.at/catsinahottintuk. . If you are doing any shopping online please, please do it through our webshop. When you buy anything from any of the retailers on our webshop we get commission for sending you there. That commission goes straight to our charity. In effect you're donating to us for free!. . That's all from us but look out for the blog posts over the coming months and please donate or do your Christmas shopping via our webshop ;). . The Cats
