Detailed description is SRDTU is a society for over-achieving robotics enthusiasts. With an ever increasing hunger for knowledge. Who are we?. Society of Robotics (SRDTU) was the brainchild of a core group of dedicated students who had a clear vision. A vision to make the world a robotics – friendly place. The idea grew wings and received huge support and appreciation by the faculty members and students alike. This led to the development of Society of Robotics – Delhi Technological University. Our aim is to come up with innovative robotic applications and solutions to problems faced by society like security and automation of events. To achieve this goal, SRDTU takes upon itself the responsibility to provide perspicacious students with the required technical knowledge, bridging the gap between industry and students, and providing cutting edge solutions to the industry and society.. . Why us?. Technology has come a long way in the past decade. Now we desire for machines to cater to all our needs and work for the welfare of mankind. To do so, we require huge development and innovation in the field of robotics and who can be better suited to the task than a group of overachieving robotics enthusiasts from one of the top universities of India- DTU. With this society, we are coming up with grand projects and innovative applications in multiple fields including robotics, web development , android applications, cloud computing, vision based applications combined together to get the best possible results. We have a team of members belonging to B.Tech, M.tech, PHD, and Delhi School of Management (DSM) from our home university as well as 10 other colleges. . . Our achievements. In our short span of existence as a society, we have already provided our mettle and have begun our journey towards our goal. We have conducted multiple workshops to impart robotics concepts to new members, conducted a workshop on 6th sense Robotics under the guidance of IIT Bombay faculty, and organized a winter training program where students worked on robotic applications under the guidance of our own technical team. We successfully organized our very own technical festival which saw huge participation with over 50 teams registering for our events. Our members have participated in competitions all over the country and won top prizes and accolades to their work and innovation. We have also developed S-RDUINO, which is an arduino based product, for which we have applied for patent rights. . . Role of companies and institutions. We are looking for support from industries and technical institutions to help achieve our long term goal. We require guidance from those more experienced in the field for technical knowledge, sponsorship for projects and goal oriented projects for which the society can provide with a dedicated and talented workforce aimed at delivering innovative solutions and applications. In return, the company will receive immense publicity and popularity amongst the young adults and gain from the work of the brightest young minds of the country.companies associated with us are intel,renesas,hightech robotics,. . Advantages for students. This society is the ideal society fo r all those interested in the field of robotics but they never knew where to go. The field of robotics is inter-disciplinary, contrary to the common perception that only electronics is required. Development of a fully functioning robotic application requires students from ECE, EE, EEE, ME, COE, IT, SE, EP and any other student with a keen desire to develop applications. We at SRDTU provide a platform where great minds can get together from different fields to work on projects and learn under the guidance of experienced technical advisors and experts from industries. We provide interaction with industries in terms of projects, technical guidance and internship opportunities which will support your career goals immensely. Apart from this, students will gain leadership and management skills, teamwork, and personality development. An exclusive workshop will be provided to society members to work on development of the projects.. . Course Content.
