We initiate this through proactive engagement, positive and practical parenting practices.. . This organisation arose in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs, due to a need within the community to provide a support, social and educational network for full-time residential fathers. This has expanded to be inclusive of all fathers, no matter their family demographic because all children deserve the best that we as fathers can give. . This idea in turn will provide our children with cherished memories that they may later reflect upon. This learnt sense of responsibility and stability may improve our future generation’s parenting practices. . . Sole Fathers United aims to assist fathers to the highest standards in practical parenting and support. We facilitate social inclusion for both fathers and their children where they can develop their individual sense of self, their parental role and their relationship with their child.. . Events, activities and workshops are integral to our organisation as they promote paternal engagement with their children. . This is inclusive of the ‘Fathers and Children’s Welfare and Advocacy Service’.
