SP Jain’s Advanced Student Admission Program (ASAP) is a challenging foundation that ultimately leads to a World Class Master’s Program in Global Business. It gives students the unique opportunity to convert uncertainty to assurance. The question is, do they have what it takes? An exceptional Academic and Extra Curricular track record!!. . With an intention to present young college graduating students with the opportunity of advancing their careers and assuring themselves a seat in one of India’s most revered B Schools , SP Jain launches the ASAP , Advanced Student Admission Program . Here students not only confirm their seat for S P Jain unique MGB program but also win a 3 day all-expense paid trip to SP Jain’s Singapore campus.. . SP Jain launched the first ASAP(Earlier known as the Student Ambassador Program) in the first weekend of June 2013. It conducted the second such program in Dubai in Jan 2014.. . So why do we take these students to our campus?. . SP Jain believes that exposing fresh graduates to global business patterns opens up options for brighter career prospects.This can be done only by giving them a firsthand experience on the same. During the 3 days the students are with us in Singapore, they will. a) be introduced to the SP Jain’s Master of Global Business (MGB) program will interact with current SP Jain students at the campus. b) attend Management sessions by SP Jain faculties which would give them a taste of what they could be experiencing for one whole year. c) explore the city of Singapore/Dubai, for its opulence, grandiose and breath taking beauty while also understanding various business practices specific to that region.. . To elaborate on this, let me explain the course of events during the first such program conducted in June 2013. . The Student Ambassador Program, conducted over 3 days from June 7-9, 2013, was off to a great start when students upon arrival in Singapore went on a tour to two famous Singaporean attractions – Universal Studios and Night Safari. Since most of these students were visiting Singapore for the first time, the experience here was exhilarating. . The program on the following day started with Mr. Nitish Jain, President, SP Jain School of Global Management, welcoming the students. In his address, Mr. Jain introduced students to Business Education 2.0 – a 21st century concept in business education. At SP Jain, Business Education 2.0 supplements classroom learning with a dedicated emphasis on three important elements – Business Tools and concepts, Global Intelligence and Real-World skills. . . This was followed by Mr. Sanjay Dalvi, Mentor, Student Admissions familiarizing the students with the Master of Global Business Program, with focus on careers in each specialization. . . The learning continued with Professor Rajesh Srivastava who took the students through SP Jain’s specialized decision-making lab, while Professor Golo Weber, Assistant Professor – World Culture, shed light on the important role global intelligence plays in the competitive world of international business. . . Professor S. Rajagopalan, Dean – Executive Education, provided students with a comprehensive understanding of SP Jain’s uniquely crafted personal effectiveness workshops.. . As the program concluded, students also got a sneak peek into SP Jain’s placement process and the important role internships play as part of the SP Jain curriculum. During the course of their stay, students also had ample opportunities to explore Singapore, learn its history and the story behind its transformation from a humble fishing village to the thriving metropolis it is today. . . The ASAP was concluded with a farewell dinner during which students were taught to use chopsticks. The Student Ambassadors were thrilled to add this experience to their backpack of SP Jain memories. During the course of dinner, students also got the opportunity to interact with SP Jain’s current cohort of MGB students and learn more about the vibrant and dynamic student life that SP Jain offers at its Dubai, Sydney and Singapore campuses. . .
