Há 29 anos funcionando num espaçoso terreno em uma ladeira sossegada no Rio Comprido, zona norte do Rio de Janeiro, os Studios Casa Blanca tornou-se referência e sinônimo de qualidade a seus clientes. . . Seu fundador chama-se Charles Chalegre, que já foi baterista da banda de Ney Matogrosso. Excursionou dois anos e meio com Gilberto Gil na turnê do disco Refavela e depois na turnê de Refestança, em que Gil dividia o palco com Rita Lee. Viajou pelo Brasil e Europa com Gal Costa e Caetano Veloso. Ainda acompanhou a cantora na turnê dos disco Tropical. Logo depois excursionou com Sandra de Sá durante dois anos, também com Robertinho de Recife fez turnê pelo E.U.A, inclusive gravando em Jackason Ville. Trabalhou um ano com Eduardo Dusek,e outros como Luiz Melodia,biafra. Mais recentemente tocava no Domingão do Faustão onde permaneceu 1 ano. Hoje integra o elenco do Tambor Brasil.. . Quando inaugurado no início da década de 80, o Casa Blanca funcionava em quatro canais analógicos. Seis meses depois, operava em uma máquina Tascam de oito pistas. Em seguida passou a contar também com uma Fostex E-16. Era época em que a maioria dos grandes estúdios pertencia às grandes gravadoras como Som Livre, RCA, EMI-Odeon e Polygram. Poucos se aventuravam em abrir um estúdio com a infra-estrutura que o Casa Blanca passou a oferecer aos artistas vinculados ou não às gravadoras.. . Por ele já passaram artistas como Alceu Valença, Erasmo Carlos, Luiz Melodia, Cazuza, Conexão Japeri, ainda com Ed Motta, entre outros.. . O projeto acústico do estúdio foi realizado pelo consultor e técnico de masterização Ricardo Garcia. “Ele foi feito todo em madeira de lei, tem refrigeração central, defletores, supressores de ruído, um pé direito de oito metros de altura...”, orgulha-se Charles Chalegre.. Atualmente o estúdio conta com uma plataforma de última geração: Pro Tools Mix Plus.
