Detailed description is sublime Currarong is the last town on the Beecroft peninsular, east of Nowra and part of the Jervis Bay Marine Park. About 3 hrs south from Sydney. Secluded and lovely, the area offers stunning walks, swimming, surfing, fishing and snorkelling.. The holiday house is a 3 bedroom, 1960’s cottage and is sunny, bright and comfortable. The house has an open plan kitchen and living area, an outside deck and is surrounded by a native garden that is a playground for local birds.. Each bedroom has a double bed with an electric blanket. There is a gas heater and the bathroom has a deep bath for relaxing. One bedroom has a work bench under a window so you can set up to work or for more creative pursuits.. You need to bring food, sheets, pillow cases, face washers and towels. There are lots of blankets and eiderdowns.. There are a number of shopping centers in Nowra for a big shop on the way in. In Currarong there is a general store, ZACS, which sells fresh fish and is also restaurant. There are tennis courts and a bowling club.. . RATES FOR 2016 - Please note these are the current rates but are subject to change.. March to November. $110 per day for up to 2 people, $125 for 3 or $140 for up to six.. . December + February. $130 per day for up to 2 people, $145 for 3 or $160 for up to six.. . Dec 16 to 31 Jan 2016. $200 per day or $1250 per week for up to six.. . Welcome to Su and Helen’s holiday house. We hope you have a great time in beautiful Currarong. Please take care of the little house for us. There are a few things we are a bit fussy about and here they are.. 1. No smoking in the house.. 2. Pets are welcome but keep them outside as much as possible and clean up after them in the garden. Please keep them out of the garden beds as they are habitats for small birds.. 3. If pets are inside keep them on their own bedding and off the carpets. They are not allowed on divans, beds or chairs. Some of our other guests are allergic to animal hair.. 4. Really important to treat your pets for fleas and ticks before you come down. Ticks are seasonal in currarong and can kill your dogs if not found in time. Check them regularly.. 6. We have an induction stove. Instructions are down there but call if you can’t work out how to make it work. Please don’t use anything abrasive on the glass top.. 7. If you put water in the bird baths the birds will reward you with hours of bird entertainment.. 8. Keep the yellow cupboard doors on the back deck ,where the keys are kept, bolted at all times. The Southerlies can tear the doors off their hinges if they aren’t secured.. . IF YOU ARE LOOKING;. 1. There is a hammock in the blue cupboard in the bathroom. It hangs between two trees in the backyard.. 2. Blankets and doonas and mattress protectors etc are in the drawers under the bed in the study/bedroom and the divans in the lounge room,. Please don’t use them outside. There is a picnic blanket in the bathroom cupboard.. 3. Under the divans you will find games and jigsaw puzzles.. 4. Mozzie zappers and some mozzie coils are in the third drawer down in the kitchen.. 5. Petrol can be found in Callala and Culburra.. 6. There is a good IGA in Callala and a Woolworths in Culburra.. 7. Locally there is a shop, ZACS, that sells newspapers, fresh fish, some groceries, wine and beer.. 8. ZACS is a sit down restaurant and does take away. Best to book on 4448 3177, they fill up pretty quickly. Ask for the local catch. You can download a sustainabilty seafood app from the Australian Marine Conservation Society. Currently flathead and blackfish are sustainable fish available locally.. 9. You can order fresh bread from local architect Siobhan Berkery by texting 0401 292 341. She usually bakes Tuesdays and Thursdays and you need to give her at least two days notice. Let her know you are staying at our house.. . BEFORE YOU LEAVE. You’ve paid for the house to be cleaned but please do the following before you go.. 1. Please do washing up and put away the dishes.. 2. Empty the fridge.. 3. Wipe down benches and stove top.. 4. Please make sure you don’t accidentally take any of the house spices, herbs, sugar etc when packing up your food.. 5. Empty garbage and recycling into the bins at the side of the house.. 6. Empty small compost bin into the big compost bin up near the back fence. 7. If you used the BBQ please clean and oil the plate and leave upside down on the BBQ. There should be scrubbers to clean the plate near the laundry sink on the side of the house.. . WHEN YOU ARE READY TO CLOSE THE DOOR PLEASE:. 1. Check mozzie zappers, electric blankets and the heater are all switched off.. 2. Ensure TV, DVD players are switched off not left on stand by.. 3. Check the TV and DVD remotes are next to the DVD player.. 4. Lock all the windows and deadlock doors. Louvres need to be pushed up firmly.. 5. Close all blinds and curtains.. 6. If you have taken any cushions out on to the decks please put back on the divans.. 7. Put the hammock away in the cupboard.. 8. Put garbage (red bin) out on the kerb when you go otherwise bins go out monday nights.. 9. Recycling(yellow bin) goes out every second Monday. Check what the neighbours are doing with their bins.. 10. Make sure yellow cupboard doors on the back deck are bolted and the side gate is shut.. 11. Did you put the keys back?. 12.
