Sir Martin wrote his book after attending a party thrown by The Baron himself, and, when he realized that it was impossible for a 16th Century noble ringmaster to throw a party hundreds of years after his death, he too joined the “Le Dévoilé”, now a secret society in it’s own right, and devoted his life to the hunt to unveil the intangible mask.. . “And it is through the frivolous that we hunt the legend, and it is from the gaiety that our own masks are created.
